Looks like a wonderful outing!
Today is ✈️ U.S. Air Force Day ✈️ – so let’s take to the skies with U.S Air Force veteran and Great Falls by Artis resident Rick.
Rick has a lifelong passion for flying – “the sky, the clouds, the majesty of it all.” He was a fighter pilot for 20 years, achieving the rank of Lt. Colonel. After his Air Force career, Rick flew Boeing 737s as a captain for United Airlines until being forced to retire at age 60 due to laws at the time – though he says he would have loved to continue flying for many more years. He later worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as project manager for a sleep study program for air traffic controllers.
Today, Rick loves to spend time outdoors, looking at the beautiful skies he soared through for so many years. A lifelong fan of folk music, he enjoys his community’s music programs – and his broad smile lights up the room.
At Artis, we are committed to helping people living with dementia achieve the essential human needs of purpose, belonging and joy. See how we’re telling the Artis story to the world on our new website! artisseniorliving.com/

Yes! Everyone at GFAL is soooo appreciated!
We are all humans seeking purpose, belonging and joy. At Artis, we help our fellow humans achieve these essential needs by building a bridge between their lifelong identity and present daily life.
World Alzheimer's Day is a global effort to raise awareness and challenge the stigmas around the disease and other forms of dementia.
Today and every day, we support the families living with it, and those working to find a cure.
